Mr. Marcus Sheblak

Marcus Sheblak.jpegMr. Sheblak was admitted into a local Victoria, TX hospital after a head-on collision on March 19, 2018. He suffered a broken right hip and left ankle, both of which were thankfully able to be corrected with surgery. After his acute care stay, Mr. Sheblak’s wife decided to transfer him to PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Victoria for rehab therapy. Mr. Sheblak required a great deal of assistance with his bed mobility, transfers and daily living activities. Even though he hit a few bumps in the road at the beginning, his strong spirit never let him give up.

Mr. Sheblak rigorous training helped him learn to do daily activities and transfers without breaking his weight bearing precautions and he continues to grow in his recovery. After just a couple days, he was able to transfer without any assistance from his therapists! Great job, Mr. Sheblak! Through it all, he felt that the nurses and doctors have been very caring to his needs. The therapy team taught him what he can look forward to, the do’s and do not’s, as well as educating him on safety. His main goal? To return to his prior level of function and make his return to hunting and fishing.
