Ms. Maxine Baker

Ms. Maxine Baker.pngMaxine Baker was admitted to Post Acute Medical Specialty Hospital of Victoria after suffering from acute respiratory failure.

Upon admission, Ms. Baker required extensive wound care and relied on the staff to provide maximal assistance for all functional mobility and activities of daily living.  Ms. Baker received physical therapy consisting of therapeutic exercise, transfer training, balance activities and gait training with rolling walker.  She made exceptional progress with therapy as well as overall medical.  Upon discharge to home, Ms. Baker was ambulating short distances with no assistive device and ambulating longer distances with a rolling walker with modified independence.  She was performing all bed mobility, transfers and activities of daily living independently.  We are pleased to hear Ms. Baker was excited to return home with her family and hoped to be driving her favorite red Ford Mustang again soon.
