Post Acute Medical is pleased to offer specialty programs in all of our hospitals. The rehabilitation hospital programs primarily focus on Brain Injury, Stroke, Amputation, Spinal Cord Injury, Complicated Ortho and Multiple Trauma. Hospitals are all accredited by The Joint Commission with disease specific Stroke Certified status at most locations. Certified rehabilitation registered nurses (CRRN) are part of the specialty treatment program offered at our rehabilitation hospitals as well as certification in ACLS (advanced cardiac life support).
The Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) is a specialty hospital designed to care for the medically complex patient requiring ICU level services for wound care, multiple system failure, or pulmonary/vent weaning. Our LTACHs have outstanding ventilator weaning rates with days to wean below the national average. The LTACH has a variety of specialty physicians including pulmonologists, critical care specialists, nephrologists, internists, infectious disease and wound care specialists, and others as required. The LTACH is equipped with critical care nurses specially trained to care for a medically complex patient. Comprehensive Wound Healing Centers provide outstanding care wound care services and offer limb salvage programs complete with hyperbaric oxygen chambers in most locations.
