The event is widely attended by former patients and their loved ones, staff and the local media. Newspaper and TV representatives cover these events as they hold great human interest in the communities we serve. During the Wall of Fame ceremony, there is a presentation by staff members and physicians recounting the spirit of recovery that the honoree displayed during their rehabilitation process. The former patient also speaks with gratitude for the help we gave them to reach their full potential and return home to their families and their lives. It is a very moving ceremony that all staff looks forward to and serves as a reminder that what we do truly transforms lives.
Each honoree receives a certificate of recognition and a picture plaque that is hung on a special wall together with former honorees in a distinct hallway of the hospital.
