Post Acute Medical is dedicated to the safety and well-being of our patients, employees, and community. You may have concerns about novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and how our dedicated, highly trained medical teams are working to ensure your safety during your visits at our various locations.
Our locations are fully functional with no changes to our hours of operation, as our services are essential medical services to our patients' wellbeing. However, our visitation policy has been adjusted in response to recent government policies.
With the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Post Acute Medical is diligently implementing the CDC guidelines as they emerge. To limit exposure and protect your health, Post Acute Medical has implemented the following processes, in addition to our standard protocols for cleaning and sanitation.
In response to the COVID-19 crisis and with the best interest of our patients, their families, and our employees in mind, we will now be restricting in-person visitation for inpatients. In place of in-person visits, we will be utilizing virtual visits. If you have an extenuating circumstance, please contact the front desk to discuss your situation.
Proper social distancing is used for all staff not necessary in treatment to the patient.
Additional disinfectant cleanings of all surfaces are performed between patient visits.
Our medical team changes into new gloves between each patient interaction. Gloves are worn for all patient interactions.
Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available onsite.
Employees are screened daily to ensure they are healthy, prior to checking in to work.
A preadmission health assessment is conducted on all patients prior to arriving at the hospital.
As new information is provided to our team, we will continue to implement additional processes as needed.
If you think that you have been exposed to COVID-19 or are displaying symptoms such as a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, please contact your medical provider immediately.
A Message from the Chairman and CEO regarding COVID-19
Hello PAM team members, I am Anthony Misitano, President and CEO of the Post Acute Medical family of hospitals.
I want to start off by thanking each and every one of our team members for your hard work, dedication, and commitment to the health and well-being of our patients. You are, and remain, our most important assets, because without you we would not be able to provide the quality care to our patients who need it most, especially in these unprecedented times. While others are being urged or directed to stay home, you all are on the front lines, ensuring that our country finds its way back to normalcy as quickly as possible.
As a result of this crisis, we have implemented a number of temporary policies and procedures, all designed to ensure we can continue to properly staff our facilities and treat our patients. Please review those policies regularly, as they may change depending on existing circumstances. In addition, please be sure to follow, in every instance, the safety guidelines that have been implemented. We are monitoring and will continue to monitor, all appropriate guidance regarding policies related to the safety of our staff and our patients.
Each of our patients is critically important to us and the services we provide are critically important to their return to good health. Therefore, we can and must continue to provide all of that care to those patients.
Our entire leadership team is aware of the hard work, and sacrifices, that you and your family have made and will be asked to make over the coming weeks and months. Now is the time that we can show the rest of the country and the world that even in these uncertain times, we can provide the highest level of healthcare to our patients.
Over the coming weeks, much will be asked of you, perhaps more than you expected. But if we all, as a team, step up, commit to each other and our patients, and work together, we will weather this storm and come out stronger on the other end.
On behalf of the entire PAM family, we thank you for your service and commitment and look forward to working through this crisis together.
