PAM installs Integrated Viral Protection (IVP) system at three more Texas facilities in New Braunfels, Luling and Corpus Christi to increase COVID-19 protection

New proven biodefense system provides viral defense, protects patients and staff from COVID-19 and other airborne diseases.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact our nation and the communities we serve, Post Acute Medical (PAM) remains committed to the health and safety of our patients, staff and communities.

In addition to all cleaning and sterilization practices in place, PAM has gone even further in our COVID-19 protection protocols by being the first provider in the healthcare industry to fully embrace the new Integrated Viral Protection (IVP) biodefense technology.

Patient safety is PAM’s top priority. In addition to following applicable CDC and state guidelines and abiding by the strictest operational procedures, our team of healthcare professionals are proud to be working in a facility that has integrated IVP’s biodefense technology.

PAM is the first to market with this innovative biodefense technology under the FDA’s emergency use directive, affirming our commitment to invest in the necessary air quality systems to assure our patients delivering care in the safest environment is our top priority.

By being the first to embrace this innovative technology, we’ve further demonstrated our commitment to providing the safest and healthiest environments for patients to seek treatment and rehabilitation services; and the company has once again demonstrated why PAM is as a leader in the healthcare industry.

The recent installation of IVP systems in three more Texas facilities in New Braunfels, Luling and Corpus Christi is just the latest in PAM’s ongoing and significant financial investment in a biodefense system that is proven to aggressively eliminate airborne diseases and other pathogens from the air.

“In order for us to successfully deliver essential healthcare services, we must do everything within our control to ensure our patients feel safe and comfortable when seeking care,” said Anthony Misitano, Chairman and CEO of Post Acute Medical. “We don’t want anyone avoiding necessary treatment or rehabilitation because they’re concerned for their health or safety while visiting any of our facilities.”

In April 2020, there were concerns related to the inherent risk of COVID-19 circulating within the air systems at one PAM facility in Victoria, Texas, which experienced a dramatic spike in COVID-19 patient referrals.

Leadership worked quickly and aggressively to identify and secure the IVP indoor biodefense system with new technology capable of killing 99.999% of airborne COVID-19 and killing or removing other airborne pathogens, including anthrax, influenza, rhinovirus and other biological species.

The technology used in the IVP system had only been approved for use the previous month by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration under their Policy for Sterilizers, Disinfectant Devices and Air Purifiers during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.

By being the first to embrace this new innovative technology, PAM has further demonstrated our commitment to providing the safest and healthiest environments for patients to seek treatment and rehabilitation services; and has once again demonstrated why Post Acute Medical is as a leader in the healthcare industry.
