Dr. Gina Armstrong is a physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor who specializes in traumatic brain injury and stroke rehabilitation. She attended American University of the Caribbean for medical school, Mount Sinai hospital in New York for residency and University of Texas, TIRR for her Traumatic Brain Injury and Rehab fellowship. Research is something that is important to her and is illustrated through her multiple publications, including chapters in Spinal Cord injury: Rehabilitation Medicine Quick Reference, AAP poster presentations and serving as co-Editor, Special Mild TBI Issue Rehabilitation Research and Practice. She is actively involved with administration, including currently serving as the Medical Director of Bay Area Rehab Fellow Representative. She also won the DeVivo Mentored Research Award sponsored by the Spinal Cord Injury Model systems. Past administrative duties included Academy of Academic Physiatrists fellowship director, and chief resident during her last year at Mount Sinai Hospital. She has various interests outside of medicine that include running, knitting and public service. Dr. Gina Armstrong currently serves as the Medical Director for PAM Rehabilitation Hospital of Clear Lake.
