Robb Jefferson

robb.jpgRobb Jefferson was admitted to PAM Specialty Hospital of New Braunfels following a trach placement for acute respiratory failure.

Initially, he needed a total assist with all mobility and was unable to tolerate any therapy other than range of motion exercises. He fortunately has a very supportive family which played a crucial part in his recovery. After only a short, but intense, six day weaning process, Robb was successfully liberated from mechanical ventilation. He was decannulated ten days later and continued to steadily progress. Through his hard work with all three therapy disciplines, he was able to independently perform bed mobility activities, transfer and return to a regular diet.
