Vivian Richard

vivian.pngMr. Richard was admitted to PAM Specialty Hospital of Victoria after suffering from respiratory failure.

Upon admission, Mr. Richard was dependent on his ventilator/feeding tube, had complex wounds and was totally dependent with all functional mobility. With an interdisciplinary approach, Mr. Richard was weaned off the ventilator, received extensive wound care, and took part in multiple therapy services to address his deficits. Amidst his stay, he had to evacuate with the facility due to Hurricane Harvey, and still continued to receive quality medical care only further enhancing his progress. Currently, Mr. Richard does not require any oxygen, eats a regular diet and ambulates throughout the facility with his rolling walker. He expresses his many thanks to the doctors, nurses, therapists and wound care team for his amazing recovery and looks forward to returning home to his family and community.
