The goal of Post Acute Medical’s Amputation Rehabilitation Program is to help patients recovering from an amputation achieve their highest level of independent function. Amputation is the removal of a limb or part of a limb. The cause for amputation is most often trauma or surgery. An amputation is sometimes done to control an underlying disease, such as gangrene or a tumor.
